Dr. Leo Barco
Dra. Clara Iglesias
Dr. Barco is a Consultant Dermatologist currently based in Almeria and practices both in the National Health System and in the private practice.
He did his specialist training in Madrid for 4 years and then worked for several hospitals in Madrid, Soria and El Ferrol.
He also practised as a Consultant Dermatologist in the English NHS in the Cumberland infirmary (Carlisle) and in St. Richard’s Hospital (Chichester) for almost 3 years.
He has several publications in Spanish and international medical journals and has also co-authored a Dermatology book.
He is a pioneer in the use of computers and digital photography in Dermatology and is also the coordinator of the diagnosis and treatment forums of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology (SAD) website.
Dr. Barco is proficient in Catalan, Spanish and English.
Dr. Iglesias obtained her certificate in Medicine by Universidad Complutense de Madrid and also did her specialist training in Madrid at Hospital Clínico San Carlos.
During those years she was attached to several renowned departments including the Dermatology department of Hospital Niño Jesús in Madrid, Laser Department in Hospital Ramón y Cajal in Madrid, Contact Dermatitis Section of the National Institute of Medicine and Job safety in Madrid.
She was also attached to the Dermatology Department at the Royal Hallamshire in Sheffield, UK.
After finishing her training she moved to England where she practiced as a Consultant Dermatologist in the NHS, at St. Richard’s Hospital in Chichester for 2 years.
Dr. Iglesias has several publications in both national and international medical journals and is currently preparing her PhD.
She regularly attends to different courses related to Dermatology and has the Certificate in advanced English by Cambridge University and also the Anglia Certificate of Advanced English of the Anglia Examination Syndicate .
Dr. Iglesias is a member of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology.
